WASHINGTON, DC (April 27, 2010) – Brand Resources Group, Inc. (BRG), a full-service marketing communications and public relations consultancy, today announced the appointment of Laurie Mobley as Vice President. Mobley will be responsible for further deepening the agency’s core focus around safety, health and wellness. She will report to president and CEO Jane L. Barwis.
Mobley joins BRG from healthcare-focused WeissComm Group (WCG) where she served as Director of the Washington, D.C. office and led multi-office account teams to support clients in the pharmaceutical, diagnostic and biotechnology sectors.
During her more than 17 year healthcare communications career, her experiences span from pharmaceutical and consumer health product launches to global public health campaigns for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to award-winning patient education and disease prevention campaigns targeting women. Mobley has developed and managed nationally-recognized programs clients including: EMD Serono, Pfizer, GSK, Aetna, Johnson & Johnson, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wyeth and IBM Healthcare/Life Sciences.

Prior to WCG, Mobley spent seven years in Ketchum’s healthcare practice. She served as Vice President, Group Manager in the Washington, D.C. office. She also started and built the agency’s healthcare practice for Ketchum South.
Previously, Mobley led Cohn & Wolfe’s Atlanta healthcare practice, where she oversaw marketing communications initiatives for pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare provider clients. Earlier, Mobley gained extensive science communications and issues management expertise working for the CDC. Prior to CDC, Mobley managed healthcare accounts at Fleishman-Hillard and began her career in Burson-Marsteller’s New York healthcare practice.
